When the new Yale Travel Agency opens, ‘the last place you’d expect to find a ‘travel agent’ is right here’: WSJ
By Amy Siskind and Eric TuckerOctober 16, 2019 8:29AMHAPPENING NOW: The first Yale Travel Agent in New York will open next month in Manhattan’s West Village, offering a mix of luxury travel and traditional travel services.
The company, named YTAG, is one of a handful of companies hoping to capitalize on the boom in millennial travel.
Its founder, Zachary Fickler, said the new location in Manhattan will offer a mix from traditional travel to more traditional services, like hotel rooms, travel agencies, and travel advisory services.
“It’s a great place for travel.
We’re excited to be here,” he said.
Fickler said the YTAT could be one of the first companies to open in Manhattan.
Yale, a private university with nearly 500,000 students in 18 countries, has more than 600 full-time employees.
