‘It’s the most dangerous place in the world’: World’s worst airport was closed for a month after it was hit by an avalanche
Travel company Astana said it had closed its hotel in a remote part of Kazakhstan because of the recent earthquake and avalanches, which killed at least nine people.
Kazakhstan’s earthquake and avalanche has left at least 11 dead and more than 70 injured in the remote area.
“The hotel is closed to the public for the time being because of safety concerns,” the company said in a statement on its website.
Ascana said a total of 11 people were killed in the disaster and another 27 injured.
The hotel in the capital city of Astana, capital of Kazakhstan, was damaged in an avalanche on Wednesday.
